The route is simple and suitable for everyone, although it is a bit of a climb. It is a walk with which you can contemplate a good part of the Empord\u00e0 landscape: the fields on the plains, the local vegetation, the sea in the background, the Pyrenees on the other side&#8230; <\/p>\n\n<p>The old church, monastery or canonical church of Santa Maria del Roure is located to the northwest of Pont de Molins, perched on a not very high mountain range, but high enough to see large tracts of land around it.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Duration: <\/strong> 45 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficulty:<\/strong> easy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Distance:<\/strong> 1,6 kilometres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Which is the route?<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leave Pont de Molins heading west, parallel to the road along Carrer del Ve\u00efnat.<br\/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We reach the neighbourhoods of Molins and Dalt de Molins, made up of a few houses, the church of Sant Sebasti\u00e0 de Molins and the cemetery. Follow the path in a northerly direction, leaving the cemetery and Dalt de Molins to the left and, finally, behind you.<br\/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continue along the forest track, leaving behind a couple of sheds. It is in this area that we start to climb up the slope of the mountains of Jord\u00e0 (at the beginning of the Garrotxes d&#8217;Empord\u00e0), and from here we can see more and more of the typical Mediterranean landscape that surrounds the area: olive trees, pines, holm oaks&#8230; And little by little the views improve, towards the plains of L&#8217;Empord\u00e0, the Pyrenees and the sea beyond.<br\/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Santa Maria del Roure, a former monastery and sanctuary dating from the 12th century, abandoned some time ago and which still conserves part of its structure, is located at the top of the Sierra d&#8217;en Jord\u00e0.<br\/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The site is secluded, elevated and perfect for a picnic or lunch box lunch!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>This and many more routes are possible starting from the Masos Can Sot and Pont de Molins Would you like to do one of them?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":2396,"template":"","class_list":["post-2971","activitats","type-activitats","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"meta_box":{"finques-activitats_to":[2980]},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/lescasetes.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/activitats\/2971","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/lescasetes.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/activitats"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/lescasetes.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/activitats"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/lescasetes.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2396"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/lescasetes.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2971"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
